The ICA515E Ethylene detector uses a well proven solid electrochemical cell to detect ethylene in the 0-50ppm range.
This sensor is designed to be used in fruit and vegetable storage and de-greening facilities. The sensor is not suitable for continuous exposure to ethylene levels above 15 ppm Where ethylene addition is needed the ICA515E, with a suitable controller can automate the gas injection or generator for more economic operation. A Lithium battery maintains sensor bias providing stable operation independent of power. An output and LED indicates when battery and sensor requires replacement. Some cross sensitivity to CO can prevent satisfactory operation in areas where fossil fuelled vehicles are used. An adjustment for zero is provided. Care is needed as ambient air often has some ethylene and other contaminants present. |
